Cellulite treatment with Acoustic Wave

The term cellulite (vernacular: orange skin) refers to the formation of dells of the skin that can have women of different ages and can vary in its intensity. The special construction of the skin of women containing numerous standing fat deposits and perpendicularly running connective tissue cords allows said development of dells. Factors such as hormonal influences, lack of exercise or clothes that fit too tightly support this development. Cellulite is combined with a disorder of the microcirculation (blood, lymph). Two kinds of cellulite exist: the edematous (deposition of water), fibrous (callus) or adipose (fat) one or a mixture of them.

During the acoustic wave treatment, the skin is penetrated by pressure waves that reach a deepness of up to about 25 mm. The treatment leads to a considerably better blood circulation and lymphatic drainage. This stimulation of the metabolism is good for the skin. This drainage effect is also caused by the activation of fat splitting enzymes. The result is a firmer, softer, smoother skin that can be felt.
